Creating a Dream Dining Room

Do you have a room in your home that has become a dumping ground for every piece of clutter that you don’t know what to do with? For us, that was the dining room. It got so bad we could barely walk inside the room. Don’t believe me? Take a look at this before!

Before

Here is the same view!

We knew it was time for a change so we partnered with The Home Depot to completely transform this room from top to bottom. The Home Depot is our one stop shop when it comes to both construction and decor. They have so many stylish options on their app and website that you can get either shipped to a local store or right to your front door. Here are my favorite items that we chose to transform our space.

Storage Options

I knew I needed more storage space for this room so I found open storage to display my vintage collection and closed storage for other essentials.

It is so nice to have a place to store all of my favorite treasures! My dad helped me put this cabinet together and he kept saying, “Wow, this is really well made.” We definitely agree!

This piece is stunning! It is made from solid wood and came almost completely assembled. All we had to do was screw on the legs and that took less than five minutes. The inside has tons of storage space and a removable wine rack.

Decorative Accents

The Home Depot has so many beautiful decor accents to choose from. For this room I knew I wanted to add a mirror to reflect the light, a faux plant to bring in some life, (without the hassle!) frames to display artwork and more.

I love adding plants to our home but certain types aren’t the easiest to keep alive. To keep the look without the upkeep, I went with this artificial fig tree. It looks so realistic! I put it inside a natural basket with pompom details to add some texture.

I love this oval mirror. It brightens up the room and beautifully reflects my glass bookcase.

I love the way these frames turned out. I used them to display marbled paper my husband Brian created when we were on our honeymoon in Italy. It’s such a special memory and it makes me happy every time I see it.

These trays are really beautiful. I love that they echo the colors in the bar cabinet and chairs. I have one in the glass bookcase and two others stored for when we entertain.

We are so thrilled with out this space turned out. It’s hard to believe it is the same room! You can find these decor items and more at www.thehomedepot.com and on their app.

Happy decorating!
